Due to the ongoing inclement weather we are postponing OUR 7th BIRTHDAY celebration and the reopening of the Flutterbies teahouse (the big surprise you have been waiting for…) to Saturday, 11th February.

It’s our 7th Birthday on January 26th, Australia Day and we invite you all to come celebrate with us.  We will be offering delicious specials and Aussie treats on this fun-filled day!

Tyalgum hosts the Australia Day Cycling Race, as well as a Parade, the Australia vs India cricket match on the Bruce Bartrim Oval, Citizenship Ceremony at the Tyalgum Hall and more!

Due to the Cycling Race there will be a small detour through Tyalgum, but it will be well signposted and marshalled. Tyalgum will be accessible via Tyalgum Rd.

From this coming Monday 9th January till Wednesday 25th January, a section of Tyalgum Road will be closed for repair work. If you are driving into Murwillumbah from the south, you will arrive in Tyalgum by circuiting through Chillingham. It is a small detour and only 4.5kms further. Travellers from the north can do the same, or choose the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road through to Chillingham. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call us.
