Tour the Heart of the Caldera

We invite you to experience the historic village of Tyalgum – ‘The Heart of the Caldera’. Flutterbies Cottage Café is offering guided tours of the area with local bush poet, Dennis Scanlon:

Dennis will join your group in Murwillumbah and as he explains the history of this unique area, take in the spectacular views on your journey to Tyalgum.

• First stop Flutterbies Cottage Café, for Devonshire tea and a recital of bush poetry.
• Then relax and enjoy the main street, visiting local shops and art galleries including The Little Shop Next Door, Paddington of Tyalgum, the General Store and Tyalgum Hotel.
• Tour the Caldera, including a short trip to a dairy farm and the Pinnnacle Ridge lookout, to take in the majestic views of Mount Warning and the Border Ranges.
• Return to Flutterbies Cottage Café for a delicious lunch followed by a taste testing of local jams and honeys.
